Information Relay processes

Relay processes information only when you use its checkpoint features. This may include:

  • Visible conversation text from supported AI websites
  • Conversation titles, message roles, and timestamps
  • Names and contextual descriptions of referenced files or generated artifacts
  • Saved checkpoints, edits, resume selections, and interface preferences
  • Limited technical information needed to operate and secure the Relay backend

Relay does not intentionally collect passwords, payment information, government identifiers, or the contents of referenced file binaries.

How information is used

Relay uses processed information only to:

  • Extract and structure a portable work checkpoint
  • Let you review, edit, and manage saved checkpoints
  • Prepare a resume handoff for another supported AI service
  • Maintain the security and reliability of the service

Relay does not sell user data or use it for advertising, credit scoring, or any purpose unrelated to the extension’s stated functionality.

Local storage

Saved checkpoints and interface preferences are stored locally using Chrome extension storage. This information remains on your device until you delete the checkpoints, clear the extension’s data, or remove the extension.

AI processing and data sharing

When AI extraction is enabled, visible conversation content is transmitted through the Relay backend to DeepSeek solely to generate a structured checkpoint.

The Relay backend does not intentionally persist conversation content in an application database after a request is completed. DeepSeek and the infrastructure provider may process data under their applicable privacy and security terms. Referenced files remain references only; Relay does not upload their original binaries in the current version.

Security and retention

The published version of Relay uses HTTPS for network transmission and limits access to the permissions necessary for its checkpoint workflow. Limited technical metadata may be processed temporarily for rate limiting, abuse prevention, and service reliability.

Your controls

You can review and edit checkpoint information before reuse. You can delete checkpoints from Relay or remove the extension to clear locally stored extension data. Relay never sends a resume message to an AI service automatically.

Chrome Web Store Limited Use

Relay’s use of information received through Chrome complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. User data is used or transferred only as necessary to provide Relay’s disclosed user-facing functionality.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated when Relay’s features or data practices change. Material changes will be reflected on this page and the effective date will be updated.
